Green Gardening story time

The Water Library had the great privilege of traveling on Tuesday to the Rosemary Garfoot Public Library in Cross Plains (Wisconsin's first green library). We found some great resources on our story time topic, green gardening that we thought we would share with our AquaLog readers:
  • Got Dirt Toolkit - The Got Dirt? Gardening Initiative trains teachers and childcare providers to start and maintain youth and school gardens. Their toolkit is chock full of great ideas for working with children and gardens.

  • Gardening Reading List - The library has just begun building this part of our children's collection so be sure to check back for newly added titles.

  • Gardening with Kids - website filled with ideas for getting outside with your kids

Check out the photos from our event on the library's Facebook page.

Happy gardening!
