USGS Water Alert

Concerned about flooding or well water quality? The US Geological Survey's Water Alert system texts interested users when new data or news is available about requested information- such as surface water levels, pH of groundwater, or total precipitation, among other parameters.

This service is useful to a wide variety of individuals, including water researchers and those involved in water resource management, among many others. Recreational users, such as kayakers or swimmers, can use the service to determine the safety of an activity at a given time.
